Claudia Zaccari, Prima Ballerina of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, graduated from the Cecchetti School of the same theater, directed by Attilia Radice, and further honed her skills with Russian and Cuban dance masters. She has been a guest Prima Ballerina at prestigious theaters and opera houses, including the Arena di Verona, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Toulouse, Avignon, London, and more. Zaccari has danced in performances with renowned international choreographers such as George Balanchine, Zarko Prebil, Aurrel Milloss, and Roland Petit, and has shared the stage with world-famous étoiles like Maja Plisetskaia, Carla Fracci, and Vladimir Vassiliev. She is also known for her remarkable performances in contemporary roles.
Zaccari has been a guest dancer in several dance companies, including the Balletto di Roma, Balletto 90, and MDA Produzione Danza. She performed leading roles in the “Compagnia Italiana di Balletto” directed by Carla Fracci, in productions such as Filumena Marturano, Francesca da Rimini, and Il lutto si addice a Elettra.
Throughout her career, she has worked alongside prominent actors and singers, such as Paola Pitagora, Maria Monti, Bianca Toccafondi, and Giorgio Albertazzi. She was a guest at the International Astor Piazzolla events in Buenos Aires in 1995 and 2002. Zaccari also danced in the International Tour of Aida directed by Franco Zeffirelli, performing alongside Carla Fracci.
She has received several prestigious awards, including the “Postano” and “Fontane di Roma” prizes, and was named “Cavaliere della Repubblica” for her efforts in promoting international artistic exchanges. Throughout her career, she has also ventured into cinema, both as a choreographer and performer, collaborating with artists such as Dario Argento (Suspiria), Paolo Villaggio, and Renato Pozzetto (Le nuove comiche), and participating in various productions at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
Her involvement in fashion includes organizing shows and fashion events, becoming a testimonial for designer Franco Ciambella, and participating in events like “Donna sotto le stelle.” She also organizes training courses for dance teachers in collaboration with ENAIP, supported by the European community.
Claudia Zaccari is a consultant and Artistic Director for various dance schools and festivals in Italy and abroad, including the ‘Festival Cecilia Kerche’ in Belem (Brazil) and the ‘Centro Teatral di Mazatlan’ (Mexico). She serves as a juror for international dance competitions such as the Concorso Internazionale di Joinville and the Concorso Bento-em Danza in Brazil, and the Mar del Plata competition in Argentina. She is also the Artistic Consultant for Prisma Spettacoli, promoting international dance company tours, including Delfos Danza Contemporanea (Mexico), Rassa Cia De Dansa (Brazil), Balletto Folklorico Messicano, Compagnia Portoghese di Danza Contemporanea directed by Vasco Wellenkamp, and the Scottish Dance Theatre directed by Janet Smith, as well as Quasar.
In recent years, she has managed public relations for SODANÇA Italia, a Brazilian company specializing in dance products. For the 2006/2007 season, she organized international dance workshops in collaboration with DANCE OPEN in St. Petersburg. Since the academic year 2016/2017, she has coordinated the Classical Dance department at Opus Ballet.
