DANZAFIRENZE COMPETITION proudly reaches its 19th edition, confirming itself as a must-attend international event for young dancers, emerging artists, and dance schools.
Under the artistic direction of Rosanna Brocanello and Daniel Tinazzi, the Opus Ballet Competition has become a prestigious event of great quality. Thanks to an exceptional jury and the awarding of scholarships offered by top international schools and companies, it represents a unique opportunity for the future of young artists.
The Florence-based competition, with three stages in different Italian cities, has seen a growing number of dancers and choreographers from around the world year after year. It is an excellent platform for aspiring professionals and choreographers seeking to showcase their work.

The Jury is composed of highly qualified professionals in various dance disciplines, including teachers, choreographers, and dancers of recognized international fame. The Jury will assess technical ability, artistic interpretation, and choreographic quality to determine the winners or decide not to assign one or more awards in this edition.

Awards and Scholarships – 19th Edition
The prize pool has a total value of approximately €60,000 and includes cash prizes, scholarships, open cards, special awards offered by So Dança, and participation in shows, festivals, and showcases. All first-prize winners in each category, as well as the recipient of the Leonardo Award, are invited to perform at the GALA of the next edition (2020).
